7. Stay Tuned

After stopping at a bank, Gideon brings Cassie home.  He stands watch in front of her building for a time before returning to his apartment complex.  There, he is intercepted by a gunman and shot in the leg.  Gideon injures his assailant and gives fruitless chase.

Margaret fills in Cassie on India’s preparations for Dating the Volcano God.  Cassie complains that she has not spoken with her agent, Zelda Youmans, and has yet to sign onto the production.  Hearing that she would be required to sing solo, Cassie minimizes her vocal abilities.  Margaret heralds Cassie’s harmonic prowess and encourages her in song.  An upstairs neighbor calls Cassie to compliment her voice. 

Cassie gives Margaret a raise and writes her a check.  Margaret answers a call from Sharon, who is in search of information about Gideon.
