35. Hethor

The man in gray arrives at the camp and introduces himself as Hethor. Talos mistakes the man for a disgruntled audience member but Severian recognizes him as one of the five admirers from the night before Agilus’s execution.  Through his ranting, Hethor appears to devote himself to Severian’s service.  Severian and the others depart the camp with Hethor following behind.  

On the road, Hethor approaches Severian and asks to hold Terminus Est.  Severian refuses the request.
