34. Morning

Dr. Talos greets Severian in the morning.  Severian indicates that he dreamt of others at the camp but Talos assures him that there were none. Jolenta wakes up and departs the camp looking for water to wash. Severian reflects on Jolenta’s beauty and his desire for her.  On her return, they share breakfast and Jolenta suggests that Severian has met her before.
