23. Hildegrin

A young woman with wet blonde hair pulls Severian from the water.  Slowly, Severian recovers his breath and stands.  Agia, Severian, and the woman are joined by a man.  The woman attempts to introduce herself but cannot speak.  The man offers the others a flask of brandy and they drink.
