13. Gil Corby

In her hotel room, Cassie wakes to a call from Sharon.  The reporter chastises the actress for failing to disclose her date with Rosenquist.  Befuddled, Cassie denies seeing the magnate but admits to dreaming of him.  Sharon tells Cassie that she was spotted the night before leaving the theater in Rosenquist’s car.  Cassie denies the rendezvous, ending the conversation.

Zelda rings Cassie and invites her to breakfast.  Cassie agrees and summons Margaret to her suite.

Cassie praises Margaret for finding her imagined bracelet.  Margaret advises Cassie to place the bangle in a bank box.  A waitress asks Cassie to sign her arm.

Zelda drives Cassie and Margaret to an airport where they meet with Ebony and Corby.  Cassie introduces herself to her new castmate, and he stares at her jewelry.  The group of five loads into Zelda’s hopper.  Corby explains how the vehicle quickly covers vast distances.

 Margaret closes her eyes as Zelda rockets beyond Earth’s atmosphere.  Looking at Corby, Cassie is reminded of Gideon.  Corby suggests that the fivesome split up on arrival.
